Our Guide

Description

We strive to live life in our own strength, but God never intended this for us. God knows we cannot live the Christian life on our own—it is too hard.

John 16:13

But when he, the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

We have a helper and a guide and his name is the Holy Spirit. When Jesus left this earth to return to heaven, He did not leave us alone, he left a Comforter, (John 14:26) whose main job is to teach us all things.

We strive to live life in our own strength, but God never intended it to be that way for us. God knows we cannot live the Christian life on our own --it is too hard. So, in His loving way, He gave us the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will teach us, guide us, reveal to us and bring Christ’s words to our minds. The Holy Spirit is always directing us toward Jesus, who is the way, the truth and the life and our bridge to God. Instead of relying on your own strength, rely and depend on the gift that God gave you, the Holy Spirit.

Prayer: Father, I like to think I can do life by myself, but I’m realizing I cannot. God, teach me how to rely and depend on the Holy Spirit. Show me how to submit my will to Yours. I want to learn. You are the potter, I am the clay...take my life and do with it what You will.
