How to Leave a Lasting Mark for the Kingdom

Description

Work together, not against one another, and leave your mark for the Kingdom of God!

Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel, and not frightened in anything by your opponents. This is a clear sign to them of their destruction, but of your salvation, and that from God—Philippians 1:27-28.

I heard about two young men who one day saw a couple of attractive young ladies trying to move a refrigerator through the door of their apartment. So they rolled up their sleeves, puffed out their chests, and said, “Let’s go help.”

They asked the girls to step aside and began to push and shove, straining and sweating for a good 20 minutes, but the fridge wouldn’t budge. So finally, one man said to the other, “I don’t think we’re ever going to get this refrigerator out of this apartment.” The other fellow said, “Get it out? I thought they were moving it in!”

Many times, people in the church love to push and pull against each other rather than work together. They want the music this way or the preaching style that way. And they never end up finding enough common ground to work together for the sake of the Gospel.

But what if we could look past what divides us and remember what really makes us united: Jesus? Not only would our churches look different, but how people outside the body of Christ perceive the church would be different! So work together, not against one another, and leave your mark for the Kingdom of God!

LEAVE A LASTING MARK FOR THE KINGDOM BY LOOKING PAST DIVISION IN THE BODY AND WORKING TOGETHER FOR JESUS CHRIST!
