In 2007, 18-year old Katie Davis uprooted her comfortable life in Brentwood, Tennessee to selflessly love and serve the people of an impoverished village in Uganda. Today, Katie is the adoptive mother to 13 beautiful girls and the founder of Amazima Ministries, a non-profit organization that feeds, educates and encourages the orphaned, poor, and vulnerable in the country of Uganda.
In Luganda, the local language, Amazima (ah-mah-zee-mah) means “truth.” Amazima Ministries desires to reveal the truth of God's unconditional love through Jesus Christ to the people of Uganda.
The Katie Davis (author of Kisses from Katie) Channel gives iDisciple subscribers an inside look at Katie’s life through a 25-day devotional, allowing readers to experience Uganda with her as she tells a beautiful story of heartache, joy and the extraordinary things that come from following Jesus with reckless abandonment.
Kisses from Katie is a story of devotion, courage, obedience and motherhood. Above all, it is a story of passionately answering God’s call, no matter the cost. Katie’s devotionals will inspire you, convict you and remind you of God’s relentless compassion as you journey with her through the redemptive love story Jesus is unfolding in Uganda.
