When I come closer to Christ, He takes my burdens and gives me His peace.
Lord, You have said, “Come to Me,
all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me,
for I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30).
Lord,
It is only in You that I can find rest for my soul. When I take Your yoke upon me and learn from You, I discover the ease of Your yoke and the lightness of Your burden. Grant me a growing awareness of Your peace and presence.
