God wants you to do life with people who will empower and encourage you.
As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17).
“What would they influence you to do that you would not have done if they hadn’t been around?”
Life wasn’t designed to be a solo sport. We are created as relational beings for a reason. In every situation, we rub shoulders with people around us. The question is, which way do they influence you?
The wrong “they” in your life keep you from being you, keep you frozen in fear, and keep you from stepping up to discover what God has for you. God wants you to experience an abundant life by doing life with people who will empower and encourage you. The right “they” do that as they help you experience the reality of who God is and who He has created you to be!
Thank God for providing opportunities to surround yourself with the right people in your life. Ask Him for the discernment to see who He wants you to do life with.
Take the formula for the right “THEY” with you! Write the word “THEY” as an acrostic with the words, “Tough, Honest, Encouraging, Yielded to God.”
