Your Spiritual Journey

Description

Are you so busy trying to go deep that you have not reached spiritual maturity?

Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again (John 3:3).

THINK
Nicodemus, someone who was high up in Jewish community back in the day and extremely knowledgeable in the Scriptures, asked Jesus what it would take to gain eternal life. And Jesus gave him this challenging answer to a probing question.

Christians often talk about being born again, but often do not go beyond infancy or, if they do, they get stuck in the “adolescence” stage of spiritual growth by trying to go "deep".

Consider where you are at right now. Are you so busy trying to go deep that you have not reached spiritual maturity? Remember, depth isn't about going deeper—it's about going farther.

PRAY
Thank God for bringing you to where you are right now, spiritually. Now, ask Him to point you forward and show you the next steps in your journey.

ACT
If you have not made a commitment to accept Jesus into your life, do so today. If you are already a Christ-follower, step out of the hole and look forward to the next stage.
