Young Helper

An Albanian child carries blankets World Vision gave his family after heavy rains caused flooding throughout his community.

Early in 2015, torrential rains in the Balkans induced some of the worst flooding in years, forcing thousands of residents in southern Albania out of their homes. The high waters killed livestock and damaged thousands of acres of farmland.

World Vision staff members distributed blankets and food supplies to affected families.

World Vision plans to help residents with long-term needs such as regaining access to a damaged water well, replacing ruined animal feed, and rebuilding property.
