You’re Not a Failure
Do you ever feel like a failure? Sometimes I do and it’s an awful feeling.
The other day I was talking with some friends about some struggles we were all going through. One was experiencing a breakdown in her marriage, another had faced a huge letdown in her job and I was going through a really hard situation with a friend. All of us were feeling defeated and like we are flawed – yet we knew it wasn’t how God wants us to think or feel.
I walked away thinking about how important it is for me to separate my identity from my failures. Instead of letting them make me feel defeated or discouraged, maybe what I need to do is God to show me what I could have done differently. How maybe I need make amends for something I may have done wrong. And then do it.
Ya know, the best thing I can do is learn from my mistakes but never label myself for my mistakes.
