Would You Like to See Your Prayers Answered?

Description

There are three elements that answered prayers all have in common: love, authority, and boldness.

Imagine the number of prayers rising to God at this very moment. All of them will be heard, but some will be answered and some will not.

Imagine all these prayers coming before God’s throne. Some are redirected to immediate fulfillment. Consider Peter when he was speaking to the man lame from birth ...“‘Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”’ It was no sooner said than it was done! Read this passage in Acts 3.

There are three elements that answered prayers all have in common: love, authority, and boldness.

The first element: love. Love is the greatest commandment. According to 1 Corinthians 13, this should be the motivation behind all of our actions and prayers. God is love. Love touches Him, and He responds to love.

The second element: authority. Not ours, but Jesus Christ’s. All authority in heaven and on earth was given to HIM. And He told us to ask the Father in His name; in other words, on His behalf. It’s not a formula but a position.

The third element: boldness. It’s faith in action. Courageous faith. Faith that dares and takes hold of the answer. “But without faith it is impossible to please Him,” the Bible tells us. (See Hebrews 11:6.)

Unanswered prayers often lack one or two of these elements, even all three. Remember these three when you pray, without forgetting that God is God and that He is sovereign.
