So many times as moms, we try to perform in our own strength. But God never intended for us to walk this journey alone.

I Thessalonians 5:24

The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.

So many times as a mom, I try to perform in my own strength. I try to produce patience with my children, to love unconditionally, to not grow weary --all in my own strength. But God never intended for us to walk this journey alone. He actually doesn’t want us to try and improve; He knows it is an impossible task. God will do it for us and through us.

I need to look to the source of my life, and that source is God. God is faithful. He will do all things through me. My role in our relationship is to abide in Him. If I walk with my Heavenly Father daily, seeking Him to meet my needs, He is faithful and He will provide. He will not only provide my needs, but He will also give me wisdom in my parenting, unconditional love for my children, patience, strength and kindness. All of these things are key factors for me to be the kind of mom I want to be. 

Prayer:

Father, Thank you for your faithfulness and your love. Thank you that I do not have to perform for you, that you don’t expect me to be perfect. So many times I get confused and put all of the performance pressure on myself. God, help me to remember that only through you am I able to accomplish anything.
