Who Are Your Friends?

When it comes to friends, there are some towering questions we need to ask.

“As iron sharpens iron, a friend sharpens a friend.”  Proverbs 27:17

Friendships are a force of either positive or negative inertia. They either help us become the people God wants us to be or they keep us from experiencing all that God has for us. When it comes to friends, there are some towering questions we need to ask:

1. Who are they? Are your friends the kind of people who point you to your potential in Christ? Are "they" - Tough, Honest, Encouraging, and Yielded to God?

2. Whose are they? - Are the friends you surround yourself with the kind of people that passionately pursue a relationship with Christ as their number one priority?

3. Where are they taking you? - Are your friends helping you discover the kind of life God has for you?

Ask God for His help in establishing the kinds of friends that will take you to the next level in life. Pray for the strength and discernment to be that kind of friend to others around you.

Write down the three questions in today's devotional. And keep those questions somewhere prominent to help you stay focused on pursuing the right kinds of relationships.
