Where to Start

When overwhelming emotions threaten you, create an action plan.

Our garage was a mess, but the thought of organizing it was overwhelming!

I knew I needed a plan but didn’t have time to create one! When I get too busy and projects don’t get started I feel like I’m drowning and don’t know what to do next.

In her book, I Used to Be So Organized, Glynnis Whitwer says “most of the time, it’s not a lack of ability to organize that hinders us. It’s our emotional state”.

She says when we feel burdened by responsibilities, overwhelmed by circumstances, and frustrated by interruptions, our emotions can keep us from bringing order and peace to our lives. Our best response when overwhelming emotions threaten us is to create an action plan.

Well, I took her advice and tackled my garage! And I feel so much better!
