When Our Kids Are Right
It’s easy to point out when our kids are wrong, but what about when they’re right?
A few years ago our dog died, we sold our house and moved, our son broke his wrist, AND got poison ivy while we were moving, and it all happened within two months.
Once we got moved in, I had TONS of work to catch up on, and I had to spend a lot of time working at my computer. One night my one of sons said, “Mom, I feel like we haven’t been spending any time together lately.”
I wanted to be all defensive and remind him of all my hard work and why I had to spend so much time in my office! God stopped me, and reminded me Andrew was right! In the midst of all we had going on, we needed to have some family fun.
Andrew was shocked when I told him, “You’re absolutely right, let’s go have some ice cream!”
