What Is Draining Your Energy?
Christine Piauger has a magnificent willow tree in her garden. However, it got very sick. Mistletoe had actually latched onto the tree’s branches, sucking its sap, and thus, its energy. The tree got weaker and weaker due to this parasite.
There can be “mistletoe” in our lives, too: pressure, trials in life that steal our sap, our strength.
For example, it may be mourning or grieving we can’t get past, a problem with unforgiveness, progressing illness, guilt, fear. In the midst of these types of “mistletoe,” God says to you:
It is possible ... it really is ... to live through these moments in supernatural peace.
Yes ... but how, you may say? How do you walk in peace when you learn you have cancer? How can you be in peace when you don’t know how you’ll feed your children next week? How do you stay in peace when … (insert your problem here)?
Only God can give you this peace, and the good news is that He wants to do so!
Above all, choose to not feed negative thoughts. Rather, choose with your will to listen to what will encourage your faith. You’re already doing this with “A Miracle Every Day,” but you can also listen to worship songs or meditate on a Bible verse.
Today, receive God’s peace. Trust in Him. Draw near to His gentle voice that reassures and comforts you. Put your confidence in Him.
Thanks for existing!
