Wells and Rivers

Description

His rivers of living water are flowing out of your heart to touch you and everyone around you. Today, why not allow them to flow and splash on everyone in your world?

"Jesus answered and said unto her, 'Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.'"  (John 4:13-14, KJV)

Did you know Jesus talked about wells and rivers? God wants His living water to flow in us and through us and—if we will receive it—He will put His well of living water within us Then, His rivers of living water will flow out from our hearts! Would you like to experience the benefits of the well and the power of the rivers?

A Well of Living Water Is Within You: We receive a well of salvation when we are "born of" the Spirit and become a born-again Christian. It's true, when we believe on Jesus and confess Him as Lord, He puts a well of living water inside of us! Isaiah called this "wells of salvation." "Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation." (Isaiah 12:3, NKJV) This well is loaded with Jesus and His living water. When we drink of His living water, it brings us peace, joy, freedom, healing, love and so much more. Have you invited Jesus into your life? If so, He has already put a well of living water within you. Today, why not draw from that well by intentionally and specifically thanking the Lord for your salvation. As you do, you will experience His living water in a refreshing way!

Rivers of Living Water Shall Flow From You: Not only does the Lord want us to experience the well of living water, He wants rivers of living water to flow from our hearts! "On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, 'If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.' But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified." (John 7:-37-39, NKJV)

We receive rivers of living water when we are "filled with" the Spirit—and He comes upon us in His power! These rivers of life flow from our hearts to minister the love of God, His gospel and healing power to others! Have you received the infilling of the Spirit into your life? If so, His rivers of living water are flowing out of your heart to touch you and everyone around you. Today, why not allow those rivers of living water to flow and splash on everyone in your world? To get the river flowing, begin to thank and praise the Lord for all of His goodness to you, pray in the Spirit and then follow your heart as He leads you to refresh others!

Say It: “Father, I thank You for the well of salvation and the rivers of living water that Jesus has made available to and for me! Today, I thank You Jesus for the well of living water—I thank You for being my Savior, forgiving all my sins, taking away all my guilt, reconciling me to my Father, healing my heart, and filling me with peace and joy. With joy, I draw from the well of salvation! Today, I thank You, Jesus, for the rivers of living water that flow from my heart—I thank You for filling me with Your Spirit, for flowing out of me with Your love, Your gospel, Your healing and Your power to touch those around me. May Your wells and rivers of living water flow freely in my life, today. In Jesus' Name. Amen."
