We Say, "No Way". . .He Says, "Yahweh"

We need to sometimes turn off our logic and submit to the One who loves a challenge.

But he said, “What is impossible with men is possible with God.”  (Luke 18:27, ESV)

Have you ever faced what looked like an impossible task or deadline and wondered why on earth you were still striving? I mean, shouldn’t logic kick in eventually, allowing us to throw in the towel?

I think there are times when pursuing earthly tasks that we do need to stop and examine if meeting a deadline is killing our relationship with God, our family or friends. But, there are other times when we know that we are supposed to press on. When the Lord has opened a door and we are to be courageous and keep going in order to provide for our families or to further His Kingdom.

The Bible is full of ‘impossible’ stories: barren old women giving birth for the first time, miraculous healings and people rising from the dead. Perhaps the most impossible part of His story is that he chooses to use fallible humans like ourselves to work out his plans here on earth. How crazy is that? Impossible to comprehend for sure.

But with God, things that seem impossible are possible. We need to sometimes turn off our logic and submit to the one who loves a challenge. To say to Him, ‘Lord, I give up. I surrender my understanding as to how this is supposed to work out, but if it is truly your will, I will continue in the way you’ve called me.”

That’s when the testimonies blow our minds. When we hear people tell of supernatural interventions. We cry out in disbelief, ‘No way?!” only to hear a whispered reply, ‘Yahweh.”
