Water Line

Description

In drought-stricken Shashemene district, Ethiopia, thousands wait all day long to fill their jerry cans with water.

Children miss school while they wait to fetch water.

More than 3.5 million children in drought areas of Africa are suffering from severe malnutrition, well above globally accepted rates.  In Kenya, South Sudan and Somalia, certain areas of the country have already reached or are approaching famine levels.

World Vision is responding to needs with water, sanitation, food aid, and other forms of assistance.
