True Fruit

Description

We either bear the fruit of the spirit or the fruit of the flesh. Abide in Him to bear much (spiritual) fruit.

"I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.” -John 15:5

We either bear the fruit of the spirit or the fruit of the flesh. The thorn is the “fruit” of the thorn-bush—“immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing” (Galatians 5:19-21). But the fruit of the Spirit is “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control” (Galatians 5:22-23). Those rooted in the thorn bush bristle with thorns, but those who dwell in Christ bear true fruit.
