Trespasses and Sins

Grace is full protection from our sinful wrongs and our sinful choice to not do what is right.

Have you ever jaywalked? Jaywalking is not a serious crime, but it is like something that Christ died for... a thing called a trespass. A trespass is when we have chosen to go on the wrong path. We have not chosen to do something terribly wrong. Instead we have chosen to do something different than what God wanted, when we have chosen not to do the right. The wonderful news is that Christ has died for trespasses and sins. He died for what we refused to do right and He died for when we chose pure evil.

As for you, you were dead in your trespasses and sins, 2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.

4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in trespasses--it is by grace you have been saved.
(Eph 2:1-5)

Grace is a full protection from our sinful wrongs and our sinful choice not to do what is right. Trespasses, as well as sins have been paid for, and have been replaced with God's love in Christ!
