Read: Mark 16:15 & Galatians 1:11-24 & Luke 1:37
In Mark 16:15, Jesus commands us to, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” All creation includes all people, yet we sometimes limit our influence by deciding who will and will not be receptive.
I once wrote–off someone in my circle of influence as unreachable. This person doesn't even believe fundamental Christian teachings, so I had very little faith that he would ever believe in Jesus as his savior. At that time, I didn't invite him to church or speak much about God in front of him because I knew he considered it foolishness.
As I grew closer to God and saw God making drastic changes in lives, God revealed to me my misconception. His word to me was that no one is beyond his reach. Now I ask God for opportunities to speak about Jesus to my friend.
In the book of Galatians, Paul reminds his friends how he once persecuted the church before Jesus revealed Himself to him. Paul spent his days trying to destroy the church. He went so far as to have Christ followers killed. Who could be more unreachable than Paul? Despite his past, when Jesus revealed Himself to Paul, he began to follow Jesus. He began preaching the Truth he had denied.
Before we decide someone is beyond God's reach, let's remember that we are commanded to share Jesus with all people. Nothing is impossible with God.
When God calls those in our lives who seem impossible to reach, what an amazing testimony it will be to His power and to the truth that His sacrifice is life changing! Who is God asking us to invest in and share our faith with today? Whoever it is, let us submit to His leading and watch for the transformation.
