Time Is Almost Up

As we observe the signs, we see that time is almost up for this age of Grace.

For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. Romans 8:22 (KJV)

An athlete runs steadfastly, completing the last lap, as the trainer looks at his stopwatch and calls, “Time!” A college student answers the final question on her exam as the minutes tick away and her proctor says, “Time!” It’s over. Time is up.

As we observe the signs, we see that time is almost up for this age of Grace. It is almost time for Jesus to rapture His Bride home to Heaven. God will soon begin the final seven years of Daniel’s 70th week. The Jews have come back home to Israel. There are signs in the sun, moon and stars, as told to us in Luke 21:25. The world’s economy is lining up to usher in a “New World Order.” Morals and values are plunging with some “calling evil good and good evil” and some who see themselves as “wise in their own eyes” (Isaiah 5:20-21).

As we look at nature and see the suffering that sin has brought, even the animals and the earth seem weary. In our Bible verse above, Paul spoke of how all of creation is longing to be set free from the corruption of sin. As we observe and study the signs before us, we know that our redemption is drawing nigh. Meanwhile, may we continue to pray for the salvation of the lost and continue to carry out His will in our daily lives until we hear His command to “come up hither.”
