This Is How It's Done

Carrying a water jug is a game to little Dakta.

Dakta is not old enough to go to school yet, but he’ll learn soon enough that the most important and time-consuming thing to do each day is carrying water.

Finding and carrying water is a serious worry for Petro’s family. They live with their livestock in northwest Kenya, which is suffering from long-term drought. Sometimes there’s hardly enough water to keep people and animals alive. In recent years they haven’t had enough rain to grow maize or green vegetables.

But there’s hope on the way. Join World Vision’s Global 6K Walk for Water so that Petro and other kids can have clean water and home and school.
