The Underdog Wins

With God, the underdog always wins. When we are in need and look to God, He will bless us.

Matthew 5:3-5   He said:  “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

What’s the best thing about Rocky Balboa beating Apollo Creed? The underdog wins; the one with the cocky attitude loses. With God the underdog always wins. The person who puts other people before him will be first in line. The person who is poor will be rich. The person who loses will win. God isn’t impressed by money or power or strength; He’s got all that He needs. God realizes that it is better (and harder) to be poor than rich, powerless instead of powerful, and weak instead of strong.

When we are these things; these less than desirable things; we need God, we seek God, and we are blessed by God.
