The Source of All

Description

God wants all of us to participate in His Kingdom purposes, recognizing Him as the source of all that is good in our lives and expressing our gratitude to Him.

1 Chronicles 29:14 (NIV®)

“Who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.”

If you have been blessed financially, I know you can receive many requests for financial support for legitimate, worthy things. If you find yourself in that position, I would encourage you to prayerfully go to the Lord and ask, “What does sacrifice look like for me?” Candidly, He doesn’t need your resources, for everything we have comes from Him. What He needs is your heart, and if your heart is open to Him, your resources will flow out. God wants all of us to participate in His Kingdom purposes in a way that recognizes Him as the source of all that is good in our lives and expresses our gratitude to Him. When you give back to God in a tangible expression of your faith, you will give Him the opportunity to bless you beyond your imagining.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, Your Word says that every good thing is from You. I come before You in gratitude and humility, acknowledging You as the source of every good thing in my life. I trust You to show me what a sacrifice looks like in my life, and I make a commitment to be obedient to what You show me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
