The Object of Your Faith

Description

It’s not the amount of your faith that makes the difference. It’s the object of your faith. Place all of your faith in God and God alone. Then … watch the mountains move!

Yet I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day. 2 TIMOTHY 1:12

Do you know what you believe? And why you believe it? Do you know who you believe? Can you discern truth based on God’s Word? If your faith is based on what others say or think or do — if your faith is based on secondhand information — it will be weak. It will not stand up to storms, attacks, and heavy pressure.

The real problem may be your understanding, even ignorance, of who God truly is and what He’s actually said — how He works. In Matthew 17:20, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

In other words, it’s not the amount of your faith that makes the difference. It’s the object of your faith. Place all of your faith in God and God alone. Then … watch the mountains move!
