The Many Faces of Courage

How is God calling you to live bravely and courageously?

Courage has many faces. Sometimes courage and bravery looks like fearlessness; sometimes it looks like waiting patiently; sometimes it is reflected in humble obedience.

Jesus courageously faced the cross; Mary courageously watched her Son suffer; the women courageously went to anoint His body. Always God-honoring courage is motivated by love. How is God calling you to live bravely and courageously?

Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.—Psalm 27:14 NLT

Prayer: God, You know where I need to live courageously, to act bravely and courageously as I wait patiently for You. As I wait, let me live in utter confidence and humility. Make the next step clear. Speak so I can hear Your voice. Show me Your light. I wait patiently for You to show the way, ready to step out in faith when You do. I take courage in You as I pray in Jesus' name, who bravely and courageously lived for You alone, amen.
