The Magnifying Glass

Instead of holding a magnifying glass over your problems, focus on God's love, power, provision and strength.

What if today instead of focusing on all of my concerns, I decided to focus on God? Hi, I’m Renee Swope for Proverbs 31 Ministries.

Sometimes I feel like I hold a magnifying glass over my problems and they get bigger and bigger. But what if I moved the magnifying glass off my worries and struggles, and instead I completely focus on God’s love, God’s power, God’s provision and God’s strength. Imagine what life would be like if God became bigger than anything else. Instead of focusing on what’s wrong with me or my life, I’d be consumed by all that is right with Him.

I know the Bible tells me to fix my eyes on Jesus – the author and perfecter of my faith. So today, that’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to stop thinking about me and start thinking more about HIM! I have a feeling my outlook will be transformed and my problems will shrink in comparison.
