The Lord, My Hope

Our hope is centered on the Lord and on His love for us.

The Lord is my helper and keeper who watches over my steps and preserves my soul.

I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
He will not allow my foot to slip;
He who watches over me will not slumber.
The Lord is my keeper; the Lord is my shade at my right hand.
The sun will not harm me by day, nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep me from all evil; He will preserve my soul.
The Lord will watch over my coming and going
from this time forth and forever (Psalm 121:1-3, 5-8).

I look to You for my help and protection in this uncertain world. You protect me from evil and preserve my soul. When I suffer pain and loss, even then I know that You will use it for my ultimate good by drawing me ever closer to You. My hope is centered on You and on Your ever-present care.
