The Leveraging Leader

Description

Who is God calling you to plant and water your life into today so He can cause the spiritual growth?

When leading others on a journey towards life-change, the leader becomes the one who makes difficult things possible. In I Corinthians 3:6 Paul states, “I planted, Apollos watered but God gave the increase.”  While only God can cause the growth, He invites us to play a role in His redemptive work in our lives and in those we lead.

Sometimes I might be a planter who prepares the soil and growing environment. Or maybe other times, I will be the one who waters what others have previously planted. In both cases, we leverage the work God is doing and allow Him the best opportunity to give the increase in people’s lives.

We must develop a variety of environments, experiences and conversations to plant and water the gospel into people’s lives so God can cause transformation. Without this leveraging role of the servant leader, we miss the power of biblical community in spiritual transformation.

Who is God calling you to plant and water your life into today so He can cause the spiritual growth?
