The Issue is Not Others
Then he looks at men and says, 'I have sinned, and perverted what was right, And it did not profit me.'
"I have sinned" or "I was wrong." Can you say that today? I mean saying that without qualification, justification or anything. Just saying, "I have sinned"? Sometimes we think others sin against us and sometimes they do. You know what's interesting? King David went through a season where he trashed everything in his life, the thing with Bathsheba, not being in battle and a murder conspiracy. Yet the Bible says that he was a man after God's own heart. David's reply is that "I have sinned against you alone God."
You can't get somebody else to be forgiven by God, but you can ask God to forgive you. You say, "Well, I did that years ago." Praise God, it's time to do it again.
In Hebrews 8:12 "For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."
In Hebrews 10:16-17 "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them," then He adds, "Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."
I challenge everyone to read the parable of the sower in Matthew 13 and memorize Ephesians 2:8-9. He is putting His Word into our hearts and into our minds. You can start today. God wants to bless you. Not focusing on others and focusing on what Jesus is saying to us is how God wants us to do it. Read Matthew 13 and memorize Ephesians 2:8-9. The Word of God will change your life forever.
Life Lesson: The main issues are not what others have done to you, but what you have done against God.
Thank You for loving me so much that even though I have sinned You are there to forgive me. I ask You to help me see the things that I have done against You. I thank You for writing Your laws into my heart. Continue to help me read Your word and memorize it. I pray this in Jesus' name,
