The God Who Cares

Some come to Him for escape and others come for relief. No matter why or how we come, He is still waiting for us because He cares.

He takes care of us.

It took me a long time, but when that truth sunk in it was powerful. He carries us when we need carried. He rescues us when we need  We are sustained in the Lord beyond our old age. He believes we are worth saving.  How amazing is that?

As I ponder this age-old truth my heart burns within me.

He is here.

I am His and he is my God.

He opens my eyes, clears my ears, frees my mind and touches my soul.

To know Him is to love Him.

This is possible because He cares.

It saddens me when I meet stubborn hearts because they don't know Him like this. He wants to be known and even draws near to the hard hearted. Would they turn to Him if they felt His breath on their neck? I want to shake them awake.

Listen to Me, you stubborn hearted, you who are far from My righteousness. I am bringing My righteousness near, it is not far away; and My salvation will not be delayed. Isaiah 45: 12-13

Some come to Him for escape and others come for relief, but I come so that I may know Him. I do escape, I am relieved, but in the knowing I am changed: redeemed to love Him, saved to draw near and refreshed in my soul.  No matter why or how we come, He is still waiting for us because He cares.

In my thirst and hunger, will I ever really know Him? I don’t know, but for now the glimpses, peeks and fleeting glances will have to do. I want more and I admit to being a little greedy, but just like manna from heaven we are given just enough for the day.

He honestly takes care of us.

Am I the only one? Do you see this too?

Even to your old age and gray hairs I am He, I am He who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you. I will sustain you and I will rescue you. (Isaiah 45:4)
