The Divine Son - Reconciliation

00:00

Description

The Christian is the one who has responded in a friendly way to God's friendly overtures.

The talks we are giving are on Jesus Christ who is our propitiation, redemption, and reconciliation. Reconciliation refers to having a friendship with God. God the Father has acted as a friend towards us. He loved us by sending a Son to represent him, to die on a cross, and to create a reconciliation with the world. Now the world has to decide to accept that reconciliation by believing the gospel.

For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation (Rom 5:8-11).

The Christian is the one who has responded in a friendly way to God's friendly overtures. In other words, we have accepted the reconciliation. Since we were reconciled as enemies, faith will bring us more than friendship, it will bring us salvation.
