The Bridge

Description

Begin to see yourself as God sees you: holy, righteous, redeemed. Jesus paid a tremendous price to bring you to God; don’t ignore what He did on the cross.

Ephesians 2: 13

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.

If you stood on one side of the Grand Canyon at its widest point and you were told to throw a rock to the other side, would that be possible?  Of course not.  That was our relationship with God until Jesus died for our sins.  There was no way we could ever reach God or have a relationship with Him, because He is holy and we were not.  Then Jesus came and because of His shed blood on the cross, we now can have an intimate relationship with God.  Jesus is the bridge from God to us.  Now, when God looks at us, He sees the blood of Jesus and we are washed clean from all of our sins.  We are clean, pure and holy in God’s sight.

Begin to see yourself as God sees you: holy, righteous, redeemed.  Jesus paid a tremendous price to bring you to God; don’t ignore what He did on the cross.  As you go about your day today, when you are running errands, working on a project at work, or sitting in the car pool line, remind yourself YOU were far away from God, but now you are near.  You are dearly loved.

Prayer: Father, Words cannot express my gratitude for what You did for me.  You sacrificed Your one and only son, to redeem me from my sins.  Thank you!  Your love is so great and unconditional, it is hard to grasp.  I step out in faith and embrace all that You have to give.  I love You.
