The Big Wave
"Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong wing and tuned it into dry land. The waters were divided...." Exodus 14:21
Big wave surfing is one of the most extreme, thrilling sports on the planet. Some surfers spend their entire lives looking for the ultimate wave. But big waves - giant waves - don't just happen. There are specific circumstances and characteristics that must be met for the waves to be created. All waves have three common elements - weather (low pressure/high pressure event), wind, and the right location.
When God wants to move in our lives, He tends to work in the same pattern. And it often starts with a storm. Maybe you're experiencing a low pressure/high pressure weather event in your life. Don't give up and remain on the shore. Instead, trust in God and rely on Him to get you through the tough time. Because without the storm, you might not be able to experience the thrill of riding the giant wave on the other side!
Thank God for His ability to help you make it through any storm. Ask for His guidance and strength as you face the low pressure and high pressure events in your life.
