The Bible: A Formula for Learning Right from Wrong

There is a remedy to the current epidemic that we face as parents in this generation. You can teach your children to make right decisions from the Bible!

"...do not imitate what is evil, but what is good." - 3 John 1:11

Depending on your age, you may or may not remember 1984, a book written by George Orwell. It was considered required reading in schools for many years. When it came out in 1949, Orwell predicted, among many other things, that people would go to the movies and laugh at people being killed. The world was shocked! Sadly, that prediction became a reality a long time ago. It was called “the numbing of America.”

Have you thought about the current epidemic we face as parents in this generation? There is more violence, sex, and immorality bombarding a child’s intellect than ever. Look at the results: We see children committing vicious murders, including killing their classmates, with little regard for their actions. Obviously, they are conditioned by what they see on TV, video games, and in the movies.

There is a remedy. As a parent, you can teach your children to make decisions based on a formula that was around for a long time – WWJD – What Would Jesus Do? Maybe it’s time to bring it back. Can you think of any wrong your child might learn by doing this?

What WOULD Jesus do? The Bible shows us. Teach it to your child as a formula for learning right from wrong.
