Thanks Ain’t Always Easy

Description

Giving God thanks is often a sacrifice! It's not always easy to be thankful when you are in a hard place, but it is possible.

"Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His Name." Hebrews 13:15, NKJV

Giving God thanks is often a sacrifice! It's not always easy to be thankful when you are in a hard place, but it is possible. Interestingly, miracles always seemed to follow the giving of thanks in the Bible. Go ahead and give God a sacrifice of praise and give thanks to His Name today!

Think about this…

"Let us continually"…that means all the time. Don't quit.

"Offer the sacrifice of praise to God"…it's a sacrifice. Especially when our feelings aren't in the thankful mode or our circumstances are looking bleak. Offer it. Sacrifice it.

"The fruit of our lips"…the power of our words. There are many things that God can give to Himself, but the fruit of our lips isn't one of them. He won't twist our arms; we get to choose to give Him praise and thanks. That fruit can come from our lips.

"Giving thanks to His Name"…give thanks. We can start giving thanks by looking around and being thankful for what we have now. What do we have? Give thanks to Him for it, today.

"Father, I choose to give you praise and thanks today. I praise You for who You are and I thank You for what You have done for me. In Jesus' Name. Amen."
