Tell My Story

Shiraz, 10, (in pink) shows a drawing to Bassima, the supervisor of a Child-Friendly Space for Syrian refugees in Lebanon.

The Child-Friendly Space is a place where children can play and receive psychosocial support. Many of the children have undergone traumatic experiences and are living under difficult conditions.

“We don’t ask them about the things that trouble them,” says Bassima, who is also a Syrian refugee. “We are here to support and encourage them.”
