Teaching by Example

What are you teaching by your example?

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. ROMANS 1:16

What are you teaching by your example? When you think about the lessons you’re offering others, consider what the apostle Paul taught Timothy. He told him, “But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus” (2 Timothy 3:14 – 15).

Encourage your children to be in God’s Word. Make sure they see you studying it, reading it, praying it! And if you don’t have children of your own, ask God whom you can challenge and encourage the way Paul did Timothy.

Give those you influence an example of someone who is not only a student of the Scriptures but a person who lives them out. Someone who is not ashamed of the gospel. Someone whose faith is contagious.
