Think

The rich young ruler is a story of what might have been had he rid his life of the great barrier in his life. It’s not just a story of wealth or possessions. It’s a story of how possessions can be stumbling blocks in the way of our reaching great destinations. 

There can be things in our lives that bring us temporal comfort and satisfaction, but they may be things God has called us to remove so we can experience a more abundant life. This is easier to do when we remember that God will not withhold any good thing from those He loves. 

Consider what God has been calling you to give up. Take steps to remove that barrier. And discover the great path God has for you on the other side!

Pray

Admit to God that you know He wants what is best for you.  Ask Him for the strength and discernment to remove those things that get in the way of your relationship with Him. 

Act
