Strength of the Lord

Description

Being a mom is not for the faint of heart. A mom needs to be strong and bold so much of the time. Learn to rely on God and look to Him for your source of strength.

Psalms 105: 4

Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.

Being a mom is not for the faint of heart.  A mom needs to be strong and bold so much of the time.  Our children look to us to provide security and answers.  But, our strength can only last so long and then we become weak. We begin to doubt our abilities.  Some days we just want to stay in bed, pull the covers over our head and tell the world to go away.  We want to announce to everyone that is listening, “I don’t have the answer, I don’t know, go away and ask someone else!”

There is good news!  We don’t have to be a mom in our own strength.  We don’t have to know everything and have it all together.  God has it all together.  God is our strength and unlike us, He never grows weary.  God knows all the answers and He is ready to give those answers to us…but we must ask Him. We must seek His face always and stay focused on Him. So many times we try and do our job as a mom in our own strength, which only gets us so far…maybe just to 10 a.m.  Learn to rely on God and look to Him for your source of strength.  Today, if you are growing weary, cry out to God and tell Him you need His strength. He will answer your cry.

Prayer

Father, Thank You for always listening.  Thank You for always being there for me and for Your endless love and strength.  God, I do grow weary as a mom.  I am so thankful that I can look to You, and You will be my strength.  I can’t tell you how much that gives me peace today.  Your love is never ending and for that I am grateful!
