Standard of Measure
"Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure — pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return." Luke 6:38
Most merchandisers believe the secret to sales is in the packaging. Take, for example, breakfast cereal. Some boxes look big enough to feed a football team, but when you open them, there’s emptiness at the top. When God pours out His blessings on His covenant people, there’s no room for anymore. He presses down on the contents so He can add more, shakes the box of blessing one more time, drops in more, until the container is running over. The key to such bounty is in the desire to get to give to bless others, not to hoard for oneself.
