Stabbing Words

Imagine how much hurt would vanish if we committed ourselves to saying encouraging words to each other.

Why are girls so mean?

I remember being in middle school and feeling the sting of a classmates stabbing words. This girl was vicious without any care at all for my feelings. She tossed her cruel words out to anyone who would listen.

Well, it’s been a long time since I’ve walked the halls of middle school. Sadly, I have noticed that being mean isn’t just an issue with teenagers. It’s so easy to get caught up in judgmental thoughts and harsh attitudes toward others, whether it’s about people on the front of tabloids or a friend who has done something we don’t understand.

No matter what, we were made for more than cheap words of judgment. Imagine how much hurt would vanish if we committed ourselves to saying positive encouraging words to each other and about each other every day.
