In the midst of the storms, it’s possible to experience God’s peace and His quiet, “everyday” miracles.
He mounted the cherubim and flew; he soared on the wings of the wind. 2 SAMUEL 22:11
What storm has swept into your life? The storm of death? Divorce? A job loss? Bankruptcy? A rebellious child? How have you reacted to the storm?
Instead of complaining, spread your wings of faith and allow the storm to take you higher. In the midst of the storms, it’s possible to experience God’s peace and His quiet “everyday” miracles. His joy will balance your pain. His power will lift your burden. His peace will calm your worries. And His all-sufficiency will be more than adequate to meet all your responsibilities.
What I’m discovering is that growth that results in depth and strength and consistency — and ultimately in Christlikeness — is only possible when the winds of life are contrary to my personal comfort. Isaiah 40:31 says, “Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles.” So … spread your wings and soar like an eagle in your faith.
