Sharing Your Light

When you think about the people you interact with on a day-to-day basis, ask yourself, do they know Christ?

"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." Mathew 5:14-16

As Christians, one of our core purposes is to share the Gospel with other people. But amidst the busyness of life, personal concerns, and everything that petitions for our time, there is a tendency to overlook the subtle opportunities that present themselves. At one point or another, we have all been guilty of postponing our opportunity to share our faith. Nonetheless, there are still people around us who don’t know Jesus. And in some cases, we may be the only people they know that do.

When you think about the people you interact with on a day to day basis, ask yourself, do they know Christ? If the answer is "No," or you are unsure, this may be your opportunity to live out a part of your purpose in sharing the Gospel with someone else.

Every day we are presented with various opportunities to share our faith.  Whether it is through how we live, or inviting someone to church, we are constantly presented with different ways to spread our faith. Today, pray that God reveal these opportunities to you, and give you the strength to actively follow His voice.

In many cases, there are individuals who have been on our heart’s waitlist to share our faith with. But today, instead of thinking about them and/or praying to yourself about them-take the first step out of your comfort zone and share the love of Christ with them.
