Set Apart

You have a special gift and calling. What has God set you apart for?

The New Testament tells us repeatedly that each of us is part of Christ's body, individually gifted and called by God's Spirit according to His purpose. These gifts are given to us by God, they don't originate from us. They are to be used for His purposes and according to His purpose, to build His kingdom, not our own. They are affirmed by others who empower us to focus on what God is calling us to do. What has God set you apart for?

While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.—Acts 13:2-3

Prayer: Holy Spirit, who sets me apart to serve according to Your design and plan, I surrender to You. Use me as You will, I pray in Jesus' name, amen.
