Seek God’s Will
Boys and girls who attend World Vision’s Kids’ Camps in Guatemala seek God’s will through knowledge of the scriptures.
Guatemalan youth often say they don’t feel important to society. At camp, participants discuss self-esteem and relationship issues honestly, consulting the Bible to learn how God views them. Teaching children to look out for other people’s needs contributes to community development based on love of neighbor.
“Yes, I think this (camp) has taken me closer to God,” says Isabel, age 13. “God has given us life. We cannot plan anything without asking Him.”
Pray that youth will find their identity in Christ:
“Jesus, Your love changes hearts. As children learn to follow You more closely, may they find their value in Your grace. Help them love people around them in ways that point them to You.”
