A tour of Romans 3 with Ken Boa.
Having indicted both the Gentiles and the Jews, the apostle completes his portrait of universal condemnation before a holy God with a series of quotations from the Psalms. The Law demonstrates the knowledge of sin, but it does not provide a solution.
God’s solution to this universal human dilemma is found in the redemption and atoning work of Jesus Christ. Faith in Him rather than works is the key to appropriating His offer by which we are justified (declared righteous) by God Himself (3:21-31). While “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” we are “justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus.”
READING of ROMANS 3
Lord, You have paid the price of redemption through the blood of Your Son, and it is through faith in Him that I have received the grace of being justified in Your sight.
