Romans 14

Description

A tour of Romans 14 with Ken Boa.

One of the purposes of this epistle was to encourage the Jews and Gentiles in the church in Rome to develop a spirit of unity in one body. To this end, Paul outlines the principles and practice of Christian liberty as this relates to different levels of spiritual maturity. Concerning matters of conscience rather than command, those who cannot indulge should not judge those who can, and those who can indulge should not look down on those who cannot. At the same time, those who have faith in these areas should voluntarily restrict themselves when in the presence to those who do not, so they will not cause the latter to stumble. In all things we are to “pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another.”
