;

Right Path in Life

Description

It is wonderful to know that in God’s world, He is right all the time and His ways never change.

Hosea 14:9

The ways of the Lord are right; the righteous walk in them.

In our world, anything goes—the lines of right and wrong, good or bad become more blurry each day.  It is wonderful to know that in God’s world, He is right all the time and His ways never change.  For a mom, the idea that the Lord’s ways are right should bring us comfort.  We can gain comfort in the fact that God has the way and all we have to do is to keep our eyes on Him and walk after Him.  He is faithful to direct our path.  That is reassuring because in our culture, there are so many paths—we can get confused as a mom and get lost along the way.  But, God tells us not to be fearful (II Timothy 1:7), he IS the way and He will take care of us.

My homework as a mom is to walk after the Lord.  Even though that sounds like an easy thing to do, it is difficult to stay on task.  The world is constantly pulling and tugging at me to become distracted and to pull me off course.  But, I must maintain my efforts to walk with the Lord and to stay fully engaged with Him at all times.  Throughout your day today, remind yourself, “the ways of the Lord are right." Follow Him.

Prayer

Father, You are sovereign and You are holy.  Your ways are right, oh Lord, and You will guide my path.  God, give me the determination and discipline I need to stay focused on You.  God, when the world pulls me away, give me discernment to realize what is happening so I will be able to correct my course and realign myself with You.  Thank You for always guiding me and showing me the way.
