Repairman

Description

Ebraham, 11, a Syrian refugee from Dara’a, fixes a bicycle in a makeshift bike shop in Jordan’s al Mafraq Governorate.

Ebraham works in the main marketplace in a refugee camp that opened in 2012 to provide temporary accommodations for refugees. Now it resembles a city, with an estimated population of 80,000.

There are two refugee camps in the area that together accommodate more than 150,000 people. Two-thirds of the refugee families live below the national poverty line; one sixth live in abject poverty.
